Rejoice and be glad, Christ is risen, Alleluia!

Congratulations to our neophytes (newly initiated Catholics). During Easter vigil 2012, our parishioners welcomed two new members to our OLA Family. Both Monica and Tasandra received the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation). Ethan, baptized in another faith, was received into the Catholic Church with his profession of faith. Fr. Michael confirmed the whole group (Monica, Tasandra, Jacob, Rosy, and Lisa from OLA and Anna, Pam, Ethan, Spencer from St. Dunstan Parish). At the Liturgy of the Eucharist, Monica, Tasandra, Pam, Ethan, Jacob, and Lisa received their First Eucharist. Another of our group, Eric, not only was baptized, confirmed, and received his First Eucharist, but also was married to Tressa on March 30th!

This is just the beginning of their new life in Jesus. Please keep these people in your prayers as they take the time between Easter and Pentecost to discern their work and role in parish life. May they be filled with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and spread the Good news of Jesus!
